Curve ball in life… how do you handle it?
What do you do when life throws you a curve ball?
Do you get frustrated and just give up not knowing which way to turn OR do you run to the arms of your Savior?
This past week has been tough for me – I have been thrown a curve ball in life and have been going through a gammit of emotions! The one most constant for me has been GOD! He has been by my side all week and we have had some great time together.
I am a strong believer in prayer and again God has been faithful and been by my side.
I have clung to the following verses and statements all week! (thanks to a dear friend who sent them to me)
Nothing will ever happen to you that God does not already know about (Psalm 139:1-4)
You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.
Nothing will ever happen to you that is a mistake (Psalm 139:4,16)
Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Nothing will ever happen to you that you cannot handle by God’s power and grace (2 Cor 12:9-10)
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong
Nothing will ever happen to you that will not eventually be used by God for some good purpose in your life (Romans 8:28)
Or that all things work together for good to those who love God, who; or that in all things God works together with those who love him to bring about what is good
Nothing will ever happen to you without God’s presence (Matt 28:20)
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
These reminders along with the verse have been written down on notecards and are now in my purse and on my refrigerator to help me through my days.
