Are you a mom that never seems to stop…by Nanette

Ultimate Scrapbooking Retreat

To quote my husband “Good friends, good food, little sleep, and cropping….. life is good!” I was gone on a 4 day scrapbooking retreat this past weekend and it was great!

We went to Magnolia Ridge Hideaway in Mt. Horeb, WI. This is a house that was just built for crafting retreats! There are 4 bedrooms on the upper level. Each bedroom is a different color, has 6 single beds, and a full bath. The main level has a guest bath, laundry room, great room, huge kitchen(that is equipped with dishes, cooking supplies, and stuff for a continental breakfast), a screened in porch, and of course the ULTIMATE CRAFTING ROOM!

The crafting room is equipped for scrapbooking, quilting, and stamping. You can have up to 24 people in the house at a time. Each person gets a 4 foot table, lamp, garbage can, and a special chair. This past weekend we only had 11 people so we were able to use more space if we wanted. There are plenty of lights and windows as well. We had scanners, computers, and cricut machines to use when needed.

While scrapbooking we laughed, cried, talked about our pictures, watched movies and listened to music. The best part was that you could work on your projects, just sit and read or watch a movie. If you needed quiet time you could go off and find a place to relax. Each of us brought food to share and we had some awesome meals and snacks. Really we had way TOO much food! It was a fun time for us all and we are very excited to go back again next year.

Oh, by the way – I got 164 pages scrapbooked throughout the time I was gone!
