The Boys

Remember when we were young and were told High School would be the best 4 years of our life!   Well, that may have been for the student, I would have to say it has been one of the hardest times as a parent.  The things that kids today are faced with amazes me.

Freshman year they already are asked questions like:

What college do you plan on attending?  What do you want to do when you grow up?  Do you have your 4 year plan done?

Did we have to know all that our freshman year?  I had no idea at that time what my life would look like after high school.

As a parent of high school boys we have learned how to ask, when to ask, and when to just be quiet.  They are growing and becoming young adults and as a mom I still worry and wonder what they are thinking and doing.
